What cities/places would you recommend to visit in Indonesia?

    Try Bandung, a city about 3 hrs drive from Jakarta. Plenty of good cafes and restaurants with good views and nice food; also Bandung is famous for being home to many many factory outlets, so you can buy cheap clothes at good quality. Agree with the poster above, go to Jogjakarta. Also try Lombok Island -- it's near to Bali, and as beautiful as Bali, but less foreign tourists and not as polluted as Bali. Have fun!! :))

well, I think, Fatahillah Museum in Jakarta Old City that located in North Jakarta, National Monumen (MONAS) in Centreal Jakarta and also Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (Indonesia Miniature Park) in East Jakarta are three best options for you as you only have one day to explore Jakarta,,, but I'm not sure whether you can explore all those places because Teriffic (Terrible Traffic) in the city,,, :)
