  • The Vietnam embassy in Ottawa is just about useless. They do not answer their phone, their mailbox is full and they cannot understand enough English to answer a simple question by email. Maybe someone here can help. How much money for a 30 day, 1 entry tourist visa for a Canadian if you apply through the Vietnam embassy in Ottawa?

I agree, dealing with the embassy can be a joke. I set mine up online with http://www.vietnamstay.com/service/ $50 and up but it all worked out smooth. They send you an email with a code on it, present it when you land in Vietnam, pay the rest and its set. Id skip the embassy altogether again in a heart beat. have a good trip!

It's quite easy to arrange a visa to Vietnam. If embassy in Canada is about useless, you can contact a travel agent in Vietnam to arrange a Visa On Arrival for you. They will charge you about USD 25/person for Visa Approval and you will have to pay USD 25/person more for Visa Stamp Fee when you arrive in Vietnam. So totally, it costs you USD 50. Hope this can help you
