How To Access Facebook In Vietnam?

How do i access facebook in vietnam?

  • Answer:

Hi Ian, I noticed some trouble getting onto facebook over there, I think sometimes the internet cafes block it as it takes up a lot of bandwidth, i found that googling "free proxy server" and using a proxy site to access facebook would get around it sometimes, but some places it worked fine.

First off you ask: How do I access electricity in Vietnam? Then: How do I access the internet in Vietnam? Then ask How do I access Facebook in Vietnam. I didn't know those huts that sit on poles where capable of having power

It depends where you are in Vietnam, as FB is jammed in most areas. BUT! You can get into FB light in many of the hotels where there are in-the-know locals who have moved the ISP (show the computer as elsewhere). i am there yearly and while it is not consistent, I have found the best success after getting to free access sites and also by using my ipod or laptop. If you are having trouble, ask the bartender in the hotels where Aussies and Brits and French gather. If you are trying to connect while in Hanoi, it will be far more difficult. Vietnam is stlll de-facto divided, with the southerners much more hip and technologically adept.

Hey, You need to change your DNS settings - if you go into internet/network connections. Find the one you are using and go to advanced options (this is just general as I don't know what platform you are on). Find DNS settings (domain name server). Make a not of them in case something goes wrong. And then change them to : 208.67.220.220 208.67.222.222 If they don't work try 8.8.8.8 8.8.8.4.

I did have access to it until I uploaded some photos of the countryside. I was immediately blocked. Have heard different ways of getting around it but haven't bothered. Laws are being introduced soon that give the authorities more control over the internet and what its used for.

ooo

its the same as any other country ?? just go on a computer , go on the internet , and log onto facebook ... and btw , most people don't live in huts .
