Is it true that the united states consulate in ho chi minh city does not allow co sponsors for fiancee visas?

  • I'm not sure whether this is true or not but I've heard from someone that the U.S consulate in ho chi minh city doesn't allow you to have a co sponsor for a fiancee visa to the U.S. My fiancee and I decided to get a fiancee visa and get married over in the united states since I have family members over here. We are planning to have a wedding ceremony and reception in vietnam but we're planning to get offically married in California since she and I are going to reside in california the united states for the rest of our lives together. We're planning to throw like a wedding party in vietnam and officially get married and apply for a united states marriage license. So is it true that the united states consulate in ho chi minh city does not allow you to have a co sponsor for a fiancee visa ??? I'm just not really sure.

    There's no such thing as a co-sponsor. You will need a Joint Sponsor if you do not make enough money to sponsor your fiancee to the U.S.

If you can't afford then don't tie the knot in the first place. Finacial burden to bring your fiancee over is a loser. Are you willing to share your fiancee to the co-sponsor? I guess not.

i am sure about the co-sponsorship wise...but if you cannot have the financial back to do the sponsoring, then wait until for your financial stability have established then you can always file for the paperwork's of the sponsoring is not late. unless, you want to brings your fiancee to the US in the hurry so you don't have to fly back and forth to over there again...but for a long run, if you asking someone else to do a co-sponsors for you, then later when your future wife arrives in the US do find out, then she might have no respect for you anymore or she does not think you have the financial stability and she (might) hit the highway...good luck
