Cute casual outfit to wear to town?

What type of outfit should i wear so it matches my fiance's outfit ?

  • My fiance and i are planning to go to this moon festival in downtown san francisco china town this next friday, she wanted me to come to the festival to meet some of her friends and introduce me to them. My fiance is vietnamese and she will be wearing an traditional costume long dress but i don't even know what to wear to an event like that, i'm not vietnamese so i know absolutely nothing. Can anyone tell me what outfit should i wear so it matches her ??? She told me to wear a casual suit but i want to suprise her. Below is an example picture of her outfit except her's will be peach colored one.     Dress conservatively, and you can't go wrong. I would suggest, a casual suit, perhaps cream in colour with a peach colored shirt or tie. Throw in a matching hat and shoes and you'll be a contender for "Best Dressed On Parade''. If you don't want to go that far then long trousers, a long sleeve shirt and a peach colored tie. You can always remove the tie later. A beautiful Vietnamese woman in an Ao Dai is a sight to behold and not one that's easily matched. Do the best you can.

I think if you just wear a nice dress shirt and slacks you should be fine. It might come across as being a bit cheesy if you wear any sort of traditional male costume, and it is a lot more likely that more men there will be wearing casual suit type clothing, whether Vietnamese or not.
