The battle(s) in Hue took place there in Hue! where else! Hue is the name of the city in the central part of VN. After the Geneva talk, The stupid foreigners decided to make faith in VN by dividing the country in 2 halves at the 17 parallel . Hue at that time belonged to the South. During the war time the South Vietnamese forces weren't allowed to attack and proceed northward while the northern commies could attack and spread down south. That was another stupid rule set for VNCH! It was a defensive war for the South unfortunately.
