Visa fee for Vietnam?

  • Hi, I am a Canadian preparing for a trip to Vietnam. For 1 month now I have been emailing and calling the embassy in Ottawa to find out how much the visa costs but nobody has bother to return my calls or emails. Can anybody out there provide me with information and/or an alternative way of getting a visa. Any info would be very much appreciated! Thanks,

    Hi, If you are looking for a one month single entry visa, the cost is $79. Canadian. You can apply online via http://www.funvietnamvisa.com/ or http://www.vietnamvisago.com/. You should send it Fedex with a prepaid enveloppe and allow 5-6 business days for return. Have good trip! ;)

Hi, You can not get a visa on arrival, but you can get a pre-approved visa. http://www.yesvietnamvisa.com/ and other online travel agencies can issue you a visa approval letter that allows you to board your flight and then pick up your visa at the airport. Only works if you're arriving by air. Cost can be found in the "travel services" section of the Vietnamstay web site.

Hey , I had the same problem as you when I was looking to get my visa done. I ended up asking a Vietnamese colleague of mine from work. She gave me a couple of Vietnamese travel agencies that specialize in flights and packages to Vietnam. They got my visa for me in 4 days and I paid $90 for it. I'm from Vancouver so maybe if you're in the area, I can give you the names of these places....if not, I would suggest the phone book and calling these types of agencies and see what their prices and time lines are like...
