Where are the best places to visit in thailand whilst travelling and what are the best things to try and do?

what sort of things do you like? No good suggesting diving if you can't swim...if you are a sun worshipper september is a poor time to go

I think you need to google around and get some more info and then ask a more specific question - why do you want to come to Thailand? - and not Siberia? - need to know just a little abt you before making any suggestions - just generally beaches in the south - mtns and culture and hilltribe in the north

It honestly depends on what you want to do. Bangkok is a must for first-time visitors. Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai would be where you want to go if you want to experience the real Thailand (hill tribes, trekking, etc.). if in Bangkok...a trip to the King's Grand Palace is nice...it's beautiful & worth seeing. the Thai people love their King & the place is immaculate. but...beware if you go...if a smart man outside the Palace tells you the place is closed for 2 hours & offers you a boat trip to the market instead - ignore him...they lie...he will be the boat owner & they con tourists.

There is so much to do in Thailand that you will need much more than a few months. Just do a search of things to do in Thailand and the list is endless. Bangkok is an incredibly lively city for starters. Enjoy your trip.
