Have you ever visited Phuket?

Move to Phuket(Thai)..safety/living cost/fuuuun ? :)?

  • I live in Guangzhou China, and my mother is getting really stressed about the life we are having so we are considering to move somewhere relatively close so my dad can reach us easily. We are considering now Phuket. I am an IB student so we are looking forward to the British school in there. However i am curious about how is it living there? I mean safety and generally speaking if it's nice and is full of fun places to hang out in the weekend XD Also we are curios of how much money (euro or dollars) would cost to rent a house (or apartment), we are looking for some nice and clean accommodation for three bedrooms and a living room. The only place i visited was co-samui ... is it similar.. ? ps: i know about the Chang-mai ( i am not sure about the spelling) and Pattaya, however we are not looking for any big city and we want a to live close to the beach... I know it may sound arrogant but we move with the goal of living in a better place with breatheble air ... THANKS YOU !! :)

Phuket is a nice place. If u want to go to nice and quiet beach, I think u can stay at Surin Beach. There are in fact a lot of Europeans staying there. U might wanna try this apartment. http://surinbeachapartment.com/Surin-Beach-Phuket-Apartment.htm I think it is not expensive and there are convenient stalls around. If u have a motorcycle licence, u ride can around. If u don't, transport is not expensive as well. I suggest, u can go over, stay there temporarily at a place 1st than later on move on to other apartment. As there are few areas in Phuket. Surin beach is more quiet and cheaper than other areas. The beach there is less commercialise too. Hope my answer is of help to u.

All those places you listed are nice but you 1st have to consider if you are legally able to live in Thailand, You may want to figure out what visa you qualify for before you make all those plans to move out of China. http://www.mfa.go.th/web/2637.php
