Whats the weather like in koh samui at the start of november?

  • I am going to thailand at the start of november whats the weather like in koh samui i here its monsoon season and very windy is ther much sun do the showers last all day or for a couple of hours are they during the day or at night. cheers

  • Answer:

I have spent lots of time on Koh Samui in November. The weather is Beautiful. All over Thailand it rains everyday. One hour of rain, hard rain, I can stand that if it helps keep the temperature down. Beautiful weather, wonderful time of year especially there. I haven't experienced any wind there. I went through a monsoon, not so bad, when it was done there was a lot of water around but the weather returned to its beautiful self. Gorgeous time of year.

Months of September to November in Thailand fall in monsoon season. However, there would be many days hot and sunny. There are chances that you would meet the monsoon showers too, but these usually come and go. So your tour would not be much troubled by the monsoons. If your tour is limited to urban areas like Kuala Lumpur or Chiang Mai, you need not worry much about the monsoons.

Chances are it will be raining manly every day i have been there 4 times at that time of year and only 1 time we had nice weather and that was in 2006 but phuket is usually hotter than koh samiu and when it rains in phuket its quick rein shower but koh samiu is manly all day.
