What places in the Philippines compare best with Shanghai and with Beijing?

For people who have travelled the world, how does thailands attractions & angkor wat compare?

• please only answer if you have visited many places around the world such as beijing, shanghai, hong kong, delhi, moscow, london, cairo, petra etc... (for all the grand attractions) for comparitive reasons. how does thailand, bangkok's attractiosn such as grand palace, wat pho, wat arun etc... compare with other tourist attractions around the world? also angkor wat, how does that compare? im just curious as we're planning to visit and i'm not sure where to go and if it's worth going there to see thanks!!

  Been around the world a few times but not really big on "tourist" sights. Sure, did many of the must see places, but like to meet local people and experience a culture which is not always that readily available and does take time. That said: Angkor Wat is truly spectacular and absolutely overwhelmingly worth the time and expense to go there. It is awesome from the intricate carvings in stone to the enormous size and expanse of the temples in the area... Sure, you should do the places in Bkk, why not? but Angkor Wat - wow! - make sure you have a camera...spend 3 days. Try to avoid the bus to Siem Reap if you can afford to fly.
