How Can I Ship Live Plants from Thailand to USA?

  • I've attempted to do some research and it's very confusing. All I know is that there needs to be specific certificates that I need, and I'm not sure how or where to obtain these. To be more specific I want to ship a couple carnivorous plants from Bangkok, Thailand to San Francisco, CA. Can anyone help?

    Here's the USDA website regarding importing plants into the US, it may be more trouble than it's worth for just a couple of plants and certain plants cannot be imported at all. To California you'll probably need some kind of state permit as well, knowing how protective California is of it's agriculture industry.
