What would you like the weather to be like in Phuket?

WHAT is the WEATHER like in May in BANGKOK & PHUKET?

  • i will be staying in bangkok & phuket for 2 weeks mid to end of may this year (next month 2008). what will the weather be like? will it be hot? does it rain all day?

    It's tropical. It isn't the wet season, but could very very easily rain while you are there. It should be hot, and the water should be warm. If it rains, it pretty much wouldn't be all day, it would more likely be a quick heavy shower that might come back the next day, but not stay all day.

Rainy season in Thailand, you can expect hot and humid days with rain too in Bangkok. As for Phuket, the SW monsoon is in play and you can get frequent rain. Otherwise it will be hot.

Expect some rain every now and then. When it rains in Thailand it does not fall all over the country at the same time. Often when it rains it will stop in an hour or two and the sun will come out again. Plenty of sunshine for tans and sunburns. Good luck.
