Can you work in Italy with a student visa?

Can i have a student visa and work visa for Thailand at the same time?

  • I am going to study for 3 years at a Uni in Bangkok. I will be applying for the student visa shortly, but im wondering is it possible to have a work visa and permit for any job, at the same time as having a student visa? I would rather not work illegally while studying. I dont have a degree (yet) so i understand that i cannot get the teachers permit, but is there any other type of legal way i can work doing something during my study? thanks

You can only have one type of visa at a time. Having a student visa is OK. If you work and not full time job, I guess it would be OK, as the Thai immigrants are not as serious about this sort of thing like the US or UK. Apply for work visa is extremely hard for foreigner in Thailand if you do not have the skills that is very unique and in need in Thailand. There are laws that a firm cannot hire foreigners in a percentage to Thai people. I don't remember exactly, but I think it would be seven per cent.

No, all you will be allowed to do legally is study.

No you can not. What you can do if English is your native language, you can teach part time, which is of course illegal.

No, not possible to work legally on a ED visa. And the type of work a non-degreed student could get is prohibited to foreigners such as service jobs, and you couldn't get them anyway unless you are fluent in Thai.

You are not allowed to work on an education visa, but you can go to school on a work visa (non-imm. type B) and a work permit. I don't believe you can get two visas at the same time, nor would you want all the hassle of dealing with the 90 day reports and extensions that two visas would require. If you find legal work here, change your ed. visa to a work visa.

Impossible. It is either or. Either you are here on a student visa. Any kind of work is strictly forbidden, it is stamped on your visa in your passport. Or you are on a Non Immigrant B visa, with which you can work. But not both at the same time. Do mind this applies to any kind of work. That include unpaid volunteer work as well. Be very careful when people tell you otherwise, or have 'ways to make this possible'. If you do any kind of unpaid volunteer work on an educational visa, that is illegal.
