What is Phuket?

What's best way to get to Koh Phangan from Phuket for the FMP Aug17th and whens the latest i can leave Phuket?

  • I want to go to The Full Moon Party on Aug 17th this summer on Koh Phangan. Me and two friends will be in Phuket from the 12th. I would like to know the best way to get there, and when is the latest we can leave it to leave Phuket? Would the journey take more than a day? Any comments would help a lot!

    If you want to go over land to Koh Phangan you can arrange that at any travel office in Phuket. Just arrange it when you arrive at the 12th and you will be on time. Normally you will then go to Surat Thani and take the ferry to Koh Phangan. The trip can take up to 8 hours including bus and ferry. The ferry is a great way to meet people who are also going to the party. Regarding hotels it is better to arrange that way in advance as hotels tend to get full quickly around the fullmoon. If you are willing to stay in a resort that is not directly at Hat Rin where the party takes place you can still book just a few weeks before the party. Check availability on Agoda.
