Where can I use my Bank of America ATM card in Bangkok without incurring huge fees?
-
I'm currently living in Bangkok, Thailand. Every time I use an ATM machine the receipt states there was no charge for the transaction. My Mom just sent an email stating Bank of America charged me $55 last month for ATM fees. I would be grateful for any advice that you have. Thank you.

Answer:
The bank fees is charged into your bank account back home, not in Thailand. The fee is incurred on each withdrawal that you make, so you might want to make less withdrawal times but maybe increase the amount withdrawn so you do less transaction overall. Another thing you can do is to check which bank in your hometown charges lower service fee for overseas withdrawal and use that for your overseas use. This service fee is dependent on the bank itself, charged by the bank independently.
