    Just give you one tip. Go to "run" type "msconfig" Go to "startup" Delete those programe you do not want to startup. Above should increase your startup time.

I don't have all day.. but I'll answer one - If your computer is slow on shut down and restart - and you have Norton Internet security... that's probably your issue. Otherwise, you may have a virus, or just need to clear out your internet cache.. but judging by the million questions above, you probably aren't sure what that is. Good luck
