How much spending money would I need for 2 weeks in Italy?

How much AUD spending money would I roughly need for 2 weeks in Phuket?

  • I'm going to Phuket with my partner for 2 weeks and staying in Kata but I understand theres alot of things to do in Patong so we are going to need to travel, which is fine. I've never been overseas before and I just have no idea what so ever how much I should allow myself to take! Accommodation and everything has been paid for. We will just need to pay for tours and activities. For example I want to go bungy jumping and go on a fair few tours. Roughly how much should I allow for each day??

  • Answer:

Phuket is never cheap compare with Bali . In asia it is one of the most expensive island because too many tourist. Especially if you are eating at one of the sea food restaurant at the beach. Ask for prices before they put your lobster, prawns or fish on the barbecue rack. We(2 person) were taken as sucker we have paid S$400 for 1 lobster, 1 fish and a plate of vegetable and 2 can of coke. It's difficult to tell how much you should allow each day.Prepare to bargain for taxi rides too.

Well the activities and trips will cost you the most, kata is nice, and a taxi is about 400thb to patong thats $13aus you are right there is alot of life about patong, and you dont have to eat in the beach front resturants I have been to phuket lots of times and will be there in dec for a month, I have seen me eating my dinner for $5 australian and botteled beer is around 50/60 thb $1.60 the tours are around $60/100aus, hope this helps a bit, if you need any help with you tours flick me a line I know people in that line of business,

Phuket is renowned for being Thailand's most expensive destination - so you will probably need a few more bucks, than if you where going to another part of the country, although compared to modern/western standards Phuket is still good value for money. Providing your accommodation and food is paid for and you have a view of doing a fair few tours and activities, I'd recommend budgeting at least 5,000 Baht per day (for two people) that's AUD $180 approx. Personal advice would be to shop around before committing to the first trip or excursion you come across, as you may be able to get a better deal elsewhere!

Gee

Around £50 per day, Phuket is really cheap, but for such things as bungying that might cost about £50 on it's own.
