Is Akita International University a good university?

Is Mahidol University International College (MUIC) a good university in Thailand?

  • Is it a good school for English degrees? Like would employers choose graduates of this school? Thanks for your help, I would appreciate it.

    The three top universities are 1- Mahidol, 2- Chulalongkorn, 3- Thammasat - in that order. Mahidol is expert in medicine and nowadays business. A degree from those universities is a valid one, recognized internationally. Perhaps not as good as Harvard or Oxford, but certainly not as a fancy piece of paper.

It's considered a good university, and I don't agree with both above posters. For an extreme example, Thai universities create many doctors, and they perform quite well in international standard that Thailand has been considered a hub for medical services for many countries in the world. I mean I've been to hospital in the US and I think private hospitals in Thailand are better in term of doctors and nurses.

The only Thai university that is ever ranked in reputable world wide uni rankings is Chulalongkorn. Thammasat is often a close second. But the truth is that a degree from any Thai university will be laughed at outside of Thailand. That's because it is well known that even at many of the better unis almost every student is awarded a degree regardless of how poorly they perform and degrees are often just bought by students' rich parents.
