You don't need a visa to enter Cambodia, but you need to pay $20 for a one day ticket to see Angkok. There are many temples not only Angkor Wat in Angkor area. The best way is to come by flight, but it's quite expensive. I'm going to Bangkok from Phnom Penh this weekend and return at the end of this month, but not to Siem Reap. I would like very much if you came together with us. You can fly by Air Asia from Bangkok on Jan 30 in the afternoon to Phnom Penh with us, so we can help you to arrange your trip to Siem Reap. You can take a night bus from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap, so you'll be there by mid-night. You can stay one night in a guest house and then visit Angkor for half a day. You can go by bus from Siem Reap to Poipet after lunch and cross the border then take a bus to Bangkok. Keep in mind that people at the border are so annoying and they yearn for your money. Another way: You take a bus from Mo Chit bus station to Aranya Prathet and then cross the border to enter Cambodia. From there you can take a shared taxi or bus to Poipet to Siem Reap. You can explore the city in the evning and the visit Angkor in the morning and then do the same as I have told in first route. Wish you a happy trip. You can contact me by this number during your stay in Cambodia +85512677686 I'd be happy to help you if you have any problem. I'm also a solo traveller who likes to travel on my own.

Fly from Bangkok to Siem Reap with Bangkok Airways, and stay in a hotel there. You can do a guided tour from there to Angkor Wat. I would suggest staying for three nights, giving you two full days to explore. You should be able to get a visa on arrival into Cambodia, but check on their consular website for clarification.

Peter, Angkor Wat is in Vietnam and Thailand ??? try Cambodia, slick. Bangkok Airways flies non-stop from BKK to REP (Siem Reap, Cambodia). dont waste your time by bus, youre talking about 10-15 hours, if not more. not to mention your bags could be stolen from underneath the bus along your trip .... airplane is the way to go.

Not really enough time but, I would go to the Eastern bus station at Ekamai Bangkok You can get a taxi or the sky train( B T S) to Ekamai train station ,the bus station is right there. Get a bus to Arunyapretet, about 10 hours. Then cross the border to Poipet, Cambodia. Cambodia. Philippines and Thailand are A S E A N , countries so I don.t think you need a visa. From Poipet get what ever transport to Siem Reap thats the name of the town that services tourists to Angkor Wat Since your time is so limited I would allow more time for the Angkor wat as you can easily spend 3 days there. Best to go back to Manila from Phenom phen rather than going back to Bangkok

Angkor Wat is in Cambodia. You can do it but the flight to Siem Reap is not that cheap. If you stay longer you can go overland. You can even fly to Phnom Penh and take a bus or boat up to Siem Reap (where Angkor Wat is located.) http://dpmac.com/angkor/traveling.html http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g297390-i9163-k504441-Bangkok_to_Angkor_Wat-Siem_Reap_Siem_Reap_Province.html For many tourists 7 days is not enough for just Thailand alone! Add a few more days on to your holiday if you can. Hotels in Thailand are cheaper than the Philippines. Transportation in Thailand is pretty good too!

Bangkok and Angkor wat are in 2 different countries. One is Thailand and the other in Vietnam. Unless you have plenty of time to spare, it is not encourage to travel by bus from one place to the other. Go by plane. As a Filipino, I don't think you will need a visa.
