What are good restaurants around Taiwan that serve authentic Taiwanese cuisine?

    the only place where you can get AUTHENTIC taiwanese food is off the streets if you are already in Taiwan, you know how there's always these little stalls and booths all over the place? that is where you can get the authenticist authentic Taiwanese food. I strongly suggest going to the night markets and getting food. yummmmm by the way, most of the restraunts in taiwan arent of Taiwanese food

Hit the streets! Go to night markets! Only there can you taste the food Taiwan is famous for. Lo-Ba rice (stewed ground pork over rice), stinky tofu, oyster & egg pancake, beef noodle soup, yen-su-ji (literally "salty crispy chicken" - assortment of fried food seasoned with pepper, specialty spices, and basil) Ask someone to take you to a big night market and you will know ;)
