What's so nice about Taipei?

Whats the temperature like in Taipei during the dates - 24-27 Sept?

  • Answer:

That's strange, the CWB site worked OK for me... try hunting around in it: http://www.cwb.gov.tw/eng/index.htm Most of the time at that time of year it will be hot and humid, but perhaps not as hot and humid as July or August. You should expect to bring light clothing, but you might want a light long sleeve and light long pants if you are going to be outdoors in natural areas to protect yourself from sunburns and bug bites. Shorts and T-shirt are good enough for the city. An umbrella may come in handy. A hoodie might be good if you step into a place with cranked up A/C, such as department stores, movie theaters and buses. Temps range from 25 degrees at night to over 30 degrees. Expect high humidity and afternoon showers. I use Celsius, not Fahrenheit.

Taiwan's Central Weather Bureau site is under construction again, so I can't send you there on a link to their statistics. Sorry. Temps in late-September are around 70degF, and it rains about every 4 days. Of course, this varies depending on which part of the island you are talking about. It's actually quite nice, provided we don't get hit with a typhoon. I think Mother Nature has scheduled one for those dates this year, so you'd better be careful. hahaha
