How do I get out of my cable contract with Direct Tv?

Which internet providers in Taiwan will give a foreigner with an ARC a connection. including Cable TV?

  • not talking about that MOD piece of Sheizz. I'm talking about Cable TV with discovery , CNN and so on. if it is not possible to get these two services from the same company then seperately would be okay. what ever is cheaper actually. but I guess I dont have many op[tions , since Taiwan is not so lenient on giving foreigners stuff on contract. I don't get it ,since you pay in advance. anuways. thanks for the Help.

    Normally. most providers have CNN, Discovery, Travel and Living on their List of services. Check with your neighbour as a lot of people in one neibourhood sign up with the same cable company for better service. OR Call the different providers for their rates. You might also consider going onto the Satellite network where you get faster connections for all you Cable, Broadband and cell phone. You have a household contract,you should have no problems.

Do you have any Taiwanese friends? It might be worthwhile to ask them to help you, and for them to sign up for you, giving their names. I used to do that when I lived there. My friends used to help me out with stuff like that.
