Is it possible to do 2 jobs at once?

Is it possible to hold 2 separate jobs legally in Taiwan with one ARC?

  • Recently I was offered a job with a small company wanting just a few native English speakers to proof read their advertisements and several other simple jobs. Since they are not looking for full time employees I don't know if I can work with them legally or not. I have done work for other schools and companies before but it has always been voluntary and I wasn't paid for it. However this time I will be getting paid for the work, is this going to be an issue with my taxes and ARC? Does anyone have experience with this? Is there somewhere else that might have more info about this that I can print out and use if I need to if I have to defend myself and my ARC?

    You should be careful. Taiwan allows you work 3 jobs on 1 ARC, but you need to report any taxes that the other school claims for you or you will get in trouble with the government. why not ? go for it . But when you taking this part-time job, make sure you still working on the former job at the same time. You have to do what you told to the officials, if they find you cheat on them, you might be expel from Taiwan. anyway, take that job ! it's money.

Actually its illegal. Go to this website. Its like the bible for forgeiners in taiwan. www.tealit.com There should be a link on the left for arc questions I would reccomend Keeping the job with more hour on your ARC and telling the boss of the other school to pay you cash. Its very very common
