The winds of Japan seem to be going over Taiwan and to the US. Which is safer, Florida or Taiwan?

Probably Florida is about the same as Taiwan. You have crude oil and corexit in your aquatic products for the next 30 years. We probably have slightly less of that, but about the same levels of increased ambient radiation levels as everyone else on the planet except for Japanese within 200 km of the area. Of those unfortunates, probably mostly those who live within 100 km of the area will have increased chances of cancer, but it is difficult to predict- many people's bodies will likely be able to survive the comparatively small amount of radiation exposure they would receive from the explosive fallout in the area. We are all far more likely to die from the effects of coal dust (blacklung kills millions of humans across the planet every year) or effects of CO2 induced ocean acidification killing our oxygen producing prokaryotes and taking away the primary source of Oxygen than to die from Japanese radiation induced cancer. Or if you are a smoker, you are more likely to die from the cesium within your cigarettes tar that enters your lungs.
