Where's the best restaurant in Singapore?

Can anyone recommend a restaurant in Singapore close to the aiport, i am stopping over for 5 hours only...?

• Hi, I will be stopping in Singapore for 5 hours while travelling back to Australian from Thailand. I have not been to Singapore, and would love to have dinner in a lovely restaurant just to catch a glimpse of the beautiful city. I don’t know distance from the airport to the city – so I’m not even sure if my plan is feasible… ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks

  There are plenty of places to eat and drink within Changi. If you decide to leave the airport, you'll have to go out through customs and get an entry Visa (available as you exit through customs). You can then jump on the MRT and head into the City, where there are plenty of good restaurants. Alternatively, you can get a taxi to Eastcoast Parkway (especially if you like seafood). Quite frankly though, I don't think 5-hours is going to be enough time to get anywhere, order, eat, and get back to the airport in time to catch your flight. Especially considering you need to allow at least 1/2 to 3/4 of an hour to pass through security prior to getting into the boarding lounge. Changi airport is massive. There's more than enough to keep you amused there. And for approximately AU$26... you can get into the the Plaza Premium Lounge; where there are showers, places to relax, and you can help yourself to the buffet. Alcohol is extra though. A great place to stretch out and relax.
