Answer:
Approx. Singapore Prices (All in SGD) A meal at: Hawker Centre Food - $3 to $7 per meal Food Court Food - $4 to $9 per meal Chinese Restaurant Food - $8 to $12 per dish (small serving) - or $5 to $10 per meal Indian / Muslim Restaurant Food - $5 to $10 per meal Western Restaurant Food - $15 to $30 per meal Higher End Restaurants - $25 to $50, or even more per meal Hard Rock Cafe should cost about $30+ per meal there. Attractions cost: Sentosa Island Entrance - $2 per head; then pay for everything else you do in there. Though there's also a lot to do without spending too much there. Get your cameras ready. Singapore Zoological Gardens - $15 for adult, Child $7.50 Zoo & Night Safari - Adult $30, Child $15 Zoo, Night Safari & BirdPark - Adult $40, Child $20 National Museum of Singapore - $10 Adult, $5 Child Singapore Duck Tours - Adult $ 33, Child $ 17 Singapore Sightseeing Pass value tour package offer includes; City Tour (10 am – 5.30 pm), unlimited free & easy hop on/off Heritage Tour (10 am to 5.30 pm), unlimited free & easy hop on/off Sentosa HiPPOtours (10 am – 9 pm), unlimited free & easy hop on/off Singapore River Cruise (10 am – 11 pm), single entry, 30 minute ride Moonlight City Adventure (6 pm – 10 pm), 4 hours guided tour Red Lantern Tour (6 pm – 10 pm), 4 hours guided tour Car Rental is not recommended here. Expensive and a lot of responsibilities. Not like your country side where you can just park off any road and walk. You need to find a carpark and pay for it by a coupon or via a cash card. <-- all new and stuff you don't wanna deal with especially on a holiday. You are here to enjoy~! I would recommend either taking the public transport buses conveniently located VERY near your hotel. There are proper directions, all in the English language, for the road names you want to get to and the buses available at the bus stop. All you need to wait is 15 minutes, MAX. Buses cost about $1 to $1.90 per trip depending on the distance which you can ask the bus driver. MRTs cost about $1 to $2.20 per trip depending on distance. Ticketing is convenient at the self-ticketing machines. Works quite easy - stand in front of the ticketing machine and look up to the network of stations, identify the destination station and see its corresponding price in the circle. Pls add $1 for deposit for the card - the screen will tell you to pay it. and yes, it is one of the largest touch screen boards in Singapore, just press the station on the board and the system will tell you how much you need to pay. Seems complicated? Ask any Singaporean for help if necessary. I would suggest planning your route with the hotel concierge before heading out. That includes the buses and MRTs you would have to take/transfer to get to your destinations. How about flagging for a taxi? Most, if not all Taxi drivers can speak English and can bring you to where you want. They will usually also have the Singapore Street Directory where you can refer to the map of the place you are going to. Start rates are at $2.40 to $2.80 for classier taxis. They tick approximately every 220 metres or 20 seconds. A ride from the western edge of Singapore across to the eastern edge will cost only about $25. But pls take note of the Midnight charges from 12am to 6am daily. There is a 1.5x charge. But you do not have to worry, all charges are metered. DO NOT take any taxis that try to quote you a flat rate. These people are BASTARDS who are smearing the beauty of Singapore - Singapore Tourism Board cannot say that, but a citizen can. ALL taxis in Singapore are metered. Hotel Accomodation: 2 to 3 stars - $50 to $100 per night. 3 to 4 stars - $100 to $250 per night. 5 stars and above - $250 onwards. How Much to Bring? (prices in per tourist day) Luxurious 4D3N in Singapore - S$700 onwards per day. Comfortable 4D3N - S$400 to S$700 per day Normal 4D3N - $200 to S$400 per day Budget to Low Cost 4D3N - $50 to $200 per day Pls bring your credit cards if you fancy any electronic stuff in Sim Lim Square. Any golf stuff in Far East Plaza, and if you golf in our country clubs. Have a nice time here.

You don't need to rent a car in Singapore as the public transport system (busses, trains, cabs) are plentiful and are well connected within the country. If you rented a car, you would have to pay extra charges like the ERP on top of petrol which is pretty expensive here... it just isn't worth it for a few days' trip. Also, the amount of money you bring with you would depend on what you do here. If you plan on clubbing and shopping you'll have to bring more, versus if you were just here to sight-see and try the local food. Singapore doesn't have to be an expensive place to have fun in - but of course, if you have expensive taste, it can be. I would say an approximate amount of S$800-S$1100 should be enough. And that's a conservative estimate. Hope that helped! :)
Check on the internet, they have the international car hire companies there. The last time I hired a car there it was twice the price of my home country. Hard Rock Cafe nothing much to write home about, but compared with other places not value for money. Hiring taxis will work out a lot less expensive, and there are plenty of them. Alcoholic drinks have additional tax on them, a bottle of Australian wine is about twice the price charged in Australia. If you eat in the local food courts; often much more interesting and tastier than western meals, you will be surprise just how inexpensive things can be. A lot depends on where you normally live and current exchange rates. The SGD has been gaining on the USD lately.

Singapore can be very expensive and very cheap, it all depend how you spend your money. For example, a meal may cost from S$3 at coffee shops, hawker centre, food courts; to S$50+ at restaurants. Hard Rock cafe will cost you about S$20 a meal per person. Rental of car is about S$50 to S$120 per days. It's cheaper on week day or longer term.
