Why do I have Yahoo Singapore instead of Yahoo United States?

I singned up with yahoo and I have singapore, how do I change it to the United States?

You might want to print these instructions or open a new tab to follow them. You can click on this tab to read the instruction as you go along. First you must be signed-in and go to any Yahoo page like email or Yahoo Answers. At the top-center of the page you will see "Welcome your-user-name". Just below it is "Sign Out, My Account" in blue. Click "My Account" You will be asked to enter your password again so do it. On the "My Account" page, click on "Edit" in the "Member Information" section near the top of the page. On the next page, look near the bottom and find "General Preferences". Click the blue link that says "Yahoo Singapore" next to Preferred Content. You will be taken to the next page where you can select "Yahoo US" or any other country you like. When you are finished, click "Finished" several times until you exit. Good Luck!

Just type in www.yahoo.com Thats the US site. Alternatively, you could scroll down to the bottom of the Singapore page. On the bottom left of the page are the links to the international sites. Just click on the United States link.

Since you've signed up with Yahoo!Singapore, then your main email account will be registered under [email protected], thus if you wish to change to account under Yahoo!US, it is impossible for you to do any amendments now. All you need to do is to register another new account with Yahoo!US. Visit www.yahoo.com for their official US website for the registration. Therefore, you'll have 2 different accounts now. So the next time you wish to use your Yahoo!Singapore account, you just need to go to www.yahoo.com.sg to sign in. And vice versa to sign in www.yahoo.com for your Yahoo!US account. But for accessing of email accounts, you can either go to Yahoo!Singapore or Yahoo!US for the login.
