A tourist getting a homestay with a family is the best way to know Singapore well, many times better than one who just puts up at a hotel. You get to see the choice places and experience the best of local cuisine, fruits, souvenirs, etc. Never miss out Sentosa, Chinatown, Little India, East Coast and one or two heartlands, Science Centre. You are able to shop for clothes, footwear, kitchen items and electronic gadgets that are 3 to 5 times cheaper than at home so ensure you take advantage of great deals. Also visit Mustapha dept store(open 24 hrs), Giant, Courts, Carrefour, etc. Take a river cruise along Singapore River and the harbour. Savour great dishes at Clarke Quay. The other interesting and pleasant aspects of our cosmopolitan city are:: 1)Rubbish bins, toilet facilities, eateries, etc within easy reach 2) Citizens queueing at bus-stops 3) Shopping malls with banks, post offices, eateries, cinemas, games centres, etc all under one roof. 4) Commuting from one location to another, around the island takes only 20 - 60 mins in air-conditioned comfort. Singapore is one of the safest country to tour or live, enjoys true racial harmony, a gourmet and shopping paradise, and an uncorrupt police and judicial system.Stay a minimum of a week and you shall forged great friendships among the locals while learning adequately about the attractions and unique character of our society. It is a vibrant place, and a melting pot of east and west architecture and cultures. Happy touring, and bring back worthwhile shopping and exciting memories of our city-state!

"regardless of race, language or religion" Thats the motto of the country. Not many countries can be as proud of this as Singapore where muslims, Jews, hinduism, christianity, buddhism and many more minority religions living harmoniously. 4 official languages. English, Mandarin, Malay, Tamil. If there are more countries to practise the same as Singapore, there'll be a lot more peace on earth.

Saying the truth, a 5D tour is enough for visiting Singapore. If you wish to go Sentosa Island, consider the following a)The Luge(It's really fun) b)Merlion(A must-go) c)Carlsberg Sky tower d)Underwater World (Famous but many not reach your expectations) If you plan for shopping, consider the following. Will not suggest to shop too much at Orchard as the prices there are unreasonably high. a)Ngee Ann City b)Suntec City c)Compass Point d)Marina Square Singapore's museums are pretty good, check out the followings. a)MINT Museum of Toys (5*) b)Singapore Philatelic Museum c)Science Centre d)Discovery Centre(5*) If you prefer nature, check out the Botanic Gardens. For beach, you can get to Pulau Ubin by a boat from Changi Point to Pulau Ubin. In Pulau Ubin, recommended to explore Chek Jawa.
