How to buy a phone card in Singapore?

• Ok, I'm going to travel to SIngapore next month and just bring my cellphone along, without roaming. How can I get a phone card to call back to my home country and nationwide? Last time I bought it at a 7-11 but wondering if I can buy it at the airport. How much does it cost? How to dial the number in Singapore and abroad? I remember last time I couldn't make the phone call until I dial the code 018 or something. I forgot. Would really appreciate if you can tell me in detail.

  I'm not entirely sure how you did it last time. But this is my suggestion. Buy a cheap phone in Singapore... buy a sim card and use there network. If you're going to be there awhile, this will be much cheaper. Plus, you will be able to use this phone in all the other countries in SE Asia (Indo, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, etc.) where you can not use your existing phone. Your existing phone will pretty much only work in Hong Kong and Sing. With this new phone, you just buy a sim card at whatever country you are at and buy some credit. It is really cheap to use... practically nothing for SMS. Even the long distance is really cheap. I could call Indo to Canada and talk for half an hour or so for less than ten bucks. There are only a few phones that you can do this with from North America like the Blackberry World and a few others. Some phones will work there and some won't... my phone I bought in Indo does not work in N. America and my Razer does not work in Asia, except for Hong Kong and Sing. If your phone has a slot for a sim card it may work... but the phones transmit on different wavelengths or something so it may not work. If it doesn't, no worries, you can get a cell phone for 20 or 30 bucks there.
