Hi there I could really sense your excitement, even from your question. You have to firstly ask yourself how much money you need to make the trip. And make sure your parents/guardians are in the know regarding this. Are folks in your family sponsoring your trip/ air ticket? Or do you have to raise everything by yourself? Cost for your trip includes: airticket, hotel stay, pocket money for daily trips, buying of souvenirs, etc. Once your know how much you need, you may work out specific steps to raise that amount. May I suggest the following ways to safely make money for your trip to Singapore? 1. Set aside a portion of your weekly allowance/pocket money. You'll be surprised how these add up. Just think about how nice your holiday will be, and you'll find yourself cutting down on that extra can of soft drinks or not buying extra tidbits and such. 2. Get your parents'/guardians' help to raise the money. They may have good ideas on how to raise money. One of the ways is to get them to run an auction for you on eBay. Are there things in the house/storeroom/backyard which you and your family don't need any more? Why not sell them on eBay? 3. Run a garage sale. Let your neighbors know. Let your schoolmates and teachers know. Spread the word around. Have them come and buy the stuff at your sale. 4. Go to your neighbors, teachers, school staff and tell them about your fund-raising project for the trip to Singapore. Ask if you could wash their cars, trim their lawn, look after their dogs when they are away for the weekend, etc, in exchange for a contribution to your Singapore vacation fund. One thing about offers in the newspapers and on the Internet: if they look too good to be true, they are really too good to be true. So consult your parents/guardians before committing to any of those offers. I wish you a great vacation next year.

hi furt_furter, i actually reside in singapore. a very warm welcome! i am sure you will enjoy your trip. to earn some money to spend here, you can consider freelance writing or designing, running errands or set up a flea market store to sell hand-made items. as a 12 year-old, these are probably the 'safest' options for you.

I used to live in Singapore, it is a nice country but I did not like it that much though...I think it is great to travel very convenient and accessible. The country is very small, you can explore the whole country within week. Well for you to get money might be hard, here are several ways - Sell some of your stuffs. - Walk your neighbor dogs - Babysit - Mow lawns -GET all A in your exam...and ask your mother/father for a great nice trip to Singapore as a reward.....=)
