Regarding Singapore work permit / Is s pass leads to e pass &, e pass leads to PR of Singapore ?

I guess you've asked whether accepting a job in Singapore with S-Pass makes you eligible for applying PR. Technically the answer is YES but the PR approval depending on lot of other factors like your pay, your skill set, your degree and your experience. You can check ICA website for more info.

@Cakebread: Good for you on your decision to stay put in Singapore. Unfortunately I can't say so for myself. I am seriously contemplating whether to give up Singapore citizenship and go to China, India, Vietnam etc where it has better & brighter futures. Especially when their own citizens are coming to Singapore in massive numbers so much so that I am a stranger in my own homeland. Better to build my home elsewhere.......

Why people from India and China easily accepting to be a PR or citizen of Singapore? Is that an easy way to turn your back to the country they born? India and China such a beautiful place and I will love to work or live in both countries. Can you pls find a job for me since most of the job oppurtinity taken away by cheap foreign labourers. By the way I will never give up my citizenship for another country.

The E-pass usually tends to move towards PR....this is for most of the friends I've known. But I heard that it is still based on your type of career and other discrepancies. As for S pass, again from my friends, either change jobs or as stated by your employer, i guess it had something to do with your salary bracket. S pass has a lower tax than E pass. Some employers ask you to take S pass.
