How can I record VHS tapes from my DVD player?

Where to buy a VHS VCR n DVD DVR combo player that can record all my old VHS tapes to new DVD blank discs?

  • Answer:

if you have a DVD burner in your computer, and your sound card has RCA jacks, you can simpily plug the VCR into the computer and record to file then burn to DVD. My brother has transfered all the families old stuff from VHS and BETA to DVD this way. A new sound card might be cheaper than an actual player that does this. Unless you don't have a DVD burner then you would need to buy that too.

Great question. I just bought one (RCA brand) from Target. I'm currently converting all my tapes to DVDs. When you're done, return it to Target and get your money back.
