Daniel I think first of all you must understand it depends on what type of course you would like to major in and what level of education you're looking at. The polytechnics usually only give you a diploma except for specific tie ups that allow you to further on to a degree after you have attained your diploma in that particular field and school. You will have to research on that a little they have some criteria for that. The Universities are what you go for to further your studies after you have obatined your diploma or A-level certificate. You can get your bachalor degrees, masters and PhD. I'm going to answer the next part of your question based entirely on my personal opinion. Everyone has their own views on this so you might want to listen to their advise too. Although some may offer the same course, each of the poly's and universities have their own stregths and methods in which they teach it. You may want to check out the cirriculum and the school's culture and what you prefer. Trust me - it matters. What are the best universities in Singapore? From what I know, Nanyang Tech Uni (NTU) is good for their business and communication courses. National University of Singapore (NUS) is good for their arts, sciences and engineering. SIM and SMU are also good for their business and management courses. Temasek and Nanyang Poly are good in their media and tech courses. Singapore and Ngee Ann are both good for engineering. Ngee Ann is good for their IT and mass communication courses. What are the easiest ones to get in? From what I feel, mechanical engineering, arts and some of SIM and SMU's courses cause they are private and mainly open to all types of students. Which is really nice. But that doesn't mean its easy to score in. Are Singapore's Polytechnic universities good enough? Singapore Polytechnic is a POLYTECHNIC not a university. And as I've mentioned earlier you only get up to a diploma not a degree. Unless there is a tie up in that particular course. Is it possible to get a job in Singapore after the completion of education? Yup most definately. Is Singaporean education highly valued in the world (liike UK or HK)? I would like to think so yes. Is it difficult to get a subsidized tuition in universities of Singapore? Definately not. Just be sure to read up on all the paperwork. Depending on your grades and scheme you may need to be bonded and requried to work in Singapore for a few years in exchange for your school fees. Which will be a solution to your prior question wouldn't it? =) That was a lengthy answer. Good luck. Hope it helps

Polytechnic is not a University. Yes. Singapore's education is highly accepted by the world, UK, US. In Singapore, there are two types of University you can choose from. Either you can take the Singapore Universities or Private Universities in Singapore. You can study other countries university in Singapore as well. You still get the same certificate like you study in Cambridge/London/England. Singapore Universities aren't that easy to enter as well.
