What are some good hotels in Miramar?

Singapore Hotels for a short stopover?

• We're stopping over in Singapore on our way home from Bali in March next year, and we have a hotel included in the package. We have a choice if the following Albert Court Village Furama City Centre Furama River Front Miramar Park Royal Beach Park Royal Kitchener River View Hotel. We prefer hotels with a bit of character to big intercontinental-type places, and we'd like to be able to walk to some of the tourist attractions, like Raffles bar. We only have 24 hours in the city so we want to make the most of it. Any feedback, anyone?

  If you want to be able to walk to Raffles Hotel and have a tipple at The Long Bar, then go with Park Royal Beach. I will defo stay away from Furama River Front (unless you like sleazy karaoke hostesses) and Park Royal Kitchener (off the city centre). Albert Court is also quite in the middle of nowhere. Miramar and River View might be options if you want to check out the club scene across the really broad road but thats about it really. My personal complaint about Furama City Centre was that more than one cabbie did not know where it was when I had to go there and the taxi helpline also gave the cabbie instructions to go Furama River Front instead.
