  • Answer:

i shall use whitehaw.....'s to explain in simpler language.. desktop: your desktop table.. (i.e. when all windows are minimise, you can see it. thats where you store shortcuts stuff like recycle bin, my computer, folders...etc.. e.g. bookshelves on ur desktop, you can see it but need to open it to get the documents in it) my computer: printer, computer, drawer, bookshelves.. (i.e. if u plugged something into ur computer like an usb drive or something, it will show up in my computer. e.g. like when you put a printer on ur desktop) my documents: stuff inside your computer, drawer, bookshelves, printer (functions) (i.e. where you put your stuff like pictures, word documents, video etc.. e.g. inside the bookshelves there's book. in the printer there's printing function.. ) sorry is this plagarising!? o.O? hope not.. cos that person said it really confusingly and stuff.. but hope that helps.. good luck!

Look at "My Computer" as your office where you have many filling cabinates, different areas where you can work etc and "My Destop" as the desk where your work. My documents would be a particular filling cabinate in your office. My Desktop - Imagine your desk in your office. You would have most of what you usually use there like pens and pencil. The current document that you are working on may be just left on your desk etc to basicall a place where you keep everything within reach. Some people have messy desktop same as in your office or room you will see different people organizing their desktop differently. My Documents - This is like a filling cabinate on your office or room. As the name goes "My" means if basically yours and other people having access to the office or room may not look at your documents unless you give them access in the real work via a key or in the virtual world via security access. In this Filling Cabinate you can store anything. Like your photos, documents, music etc much like in the real world where you can put everything inside a cabinate. My Computer - Like I explain before is your office or room. In a office there can be many people working together and each have their own desk and cabinate. Now you can share things around the 'office' by giving access etc. Of cos the 'boss' (in this case the administrator) can open everyones stuff up as he has the master key. Hope this help you understand.

Desktop = a computer display area that represents the kinds of objects one might find on a real desktop: documents, phonebook, telephone, etc., and can be contained in a window or "full-screen". My Computer = the icon contains information on the drives available including network drives, also shows all main folders including drive information such are disk space, date of modifications etc. My Documents = this folder contains all saved document files that one might have saved using microsoft office such as .xls, .ppt and .doc. Alternatively, the user may drag other forms of saved documents into the folder for proper organising methods.

Desktop is wht u can view wen u switch in ur computer or laptop. You can access all ur files from here. My computer means a place whre u can categorize your files into music, pictures, vidoes, and other documents and store it in a systematic way. The place where u store them are named as C drives, D drives etc. My documents is one of the folder that is a present in My computer. Please refer his website for better understanding.
