Average salary in Singapore for a 5.5 yr exp C++ developer?

  • Hi, I am currently looking at some job opportunities in Singapore and about to get an offer from a banking MNC. Since I have no idea about cost of living in Singapore, I can not negotiate for a proper salary. Can someone please tell me whats the average salary for a 5.5 yr experienced C++ professional? Also whats the average monthly expenses for a married couple with no kids? Thanks!

It could be SGD4000/month (13 months based, thus SGD53K/yr) Average expenses per person in SGD: -- Eat in foodcourt = ~5/meal -- Eat in resto = ~15/meal -- Transport per month by bus/train= ~60 -- Phone/inet/water/gas/electricity per month= ~150 -- rent apt (HDB = government subsidized apt) 1 room+1hall= ~1.3K -- rent condo is much expensive. 1room+1hall = ~3k
