Where is the cheapest place in Singapore where i could stay?

  I used to stay at Goh's Homestay on Bencoolen Rd. A small room was 20 mayb 25 Singapore dollars a night. They also have a dorm area for less. There was a common area which was good to have drink and talk to other backpackers. Some people would stay there quite a long time. It was small and friendly but a bit more expensive than some of the other places. It has been a while since I've been there though and Bencoolen has been upgraded. It was cheaper but just a lot of dorm style rooms. There was no security that I was aware of (Goh's had lockers) and I heard that things went missing frequency. Singapore can be fun but the expense can make it a challenge if you are travelling on a budget. Enjoy the food though. Great Chinese food in the food courts and be sure to try the Indian banana leaf curry.
