Are there ferries between Hong Kong and Singapore? Which site sells tickets to cruises out of Hong Kong?

Singapore or Hong Kong?

  • Let us compare these two cities… Environment: Singapore is a clean and green city and has been able to control any pollution. Hong Kong on the other hand is regularly polluted. Singapore has wide spaces and pathways while Hong Kong’s buildings are squeezed together and suffers from overcrowding. 1 point for Singapore… Business/economy: Both places are good for starting businesses, and I remembered an article which rate Singapore as the no.1 Asian country to start a business while Hong Kong is no.4. The economy of both countries are very strong and regularly ranks at the top, Hong Kong and Singapore are also very well known port cities and also has world class airports in Chep Lap Kok and Changi airport, so I’ll give it a tie… tie…. Attractions: Singapore has Orchard Road, Hong Kong has Kowloon. Singapore has a good nightlife in Clarke Quay, Hong Kong too has a great nightlife. Hong Kong has two world-class theme parks in Ocean Park and Disneyland. Singapore on the other hand, is coming out with two Integrated Resorts in Marina Bay and Sentosa. Not forgetting the F1 race coming out next year for Singapore. Hong Kong has better nature attractions for sure, with many mountains and parks with wide biodiversity, while Singapore only has MacRitchie reservoir. Singapore on the other hand, has a world class zoo… it’s a tie AGAIN!!! so…the winner is….SINGAPORE!!! What do you think about this? If you want to add in your comments feel free to do so…

Well, I think Hong Kong is a great place. The shopping is stellar and the island itself is very beautiful. Yes, the buildings are close together...in the city, but aren't they close together in most cities?

The Ans is very clear. Singapore. i guess many ppl will agree with me. Based on the statistic it shows that hong kong's winter days are counting down due to pollutions.evendo hong kong have the ocean park and disneyland it only can delight ppl for a short run and nt for the long run. More and more expart choose Singapore over Hong Kong over a few reasons. I choose the expart instill of a Singaporean view is that they will not be bias abt the point. . First the education,Singapore has a standard of teaching their kids hw to study in terms of bi-langague and the method they teach maths and science ,which is currently adopting in many countries including USA, that attract them to Singapore. Second environment,Singapore has a very strict rule when it comes to pollutions.Fine them or hire cleaners to clean the surrounding area to make sure that it is clean. In every HDB estate they have broad pathway and beautiful flowers to see. In Singapore everywhere u turn u can at least see a tree or a plant there. Third safety, it is pratically safe for a girl to walk out to the street in the middle of the night. Most HDB are build that it does not have any dark corner. But bare in mind NO CRIME DOES NOT MEAN NO CRIME. Forth cheap food, in Singapore every where is cheap including the food. with as little as $3 it can fill your stomach to the brim but with most thing it has its down side too.only the cars and housing is expensive.

Environment: Yes, I do agree with singapore. Still can see polution in Hong Kong but hardly feel it in Singapore. 1 point for Singapore. Business: Both are business cities but I would vote for Singapore again. In Hong Kong, mainly they are speak only Chinese but in Singapore, everybody can speak English well with tourists. 1 point for Singapore. Attractions: I can visit many places in Hong Kong but only a few places in Singapore. 1 point for Hong Kong. Food: Both local foods are fantastic & yummy but personally I do love dim sum. 1 point for Hong Kong. People: So sad that most people in Hong Kong I met were not impress for me. They are quite lousy & has no manner sometimes. The bad part was when I asked the price in some shops & bargain it (normal for shopping, right), easily to seen their moody faces. 1 point for Singapore. That's my opinions.

Business-wise, I would think its HK but Singapore isnt too far behind either. Entertainment-wise, its HK. Security-wise, its Singapore. F&B-wise, its a tie. Environmental-wise, its Singapore for being cleaner. Cost of living, i think its about the same for both. If i really had to choose, it will be Singapore for me.

Hong Kong is so densely crowded and very polluted and dirty when I went there in 1997. Also, not much nice beaches to see and the weather can be inconsistent. Singapore in contrast is very green & clean and has an efficient railway/transport system. Also, it is not so crowded like Hong Kong. There is plenty of space and parks in Singapore compared to Hong Kong. So, because of this I give Singapore 10 points.

Hongkong is relatively expensive than Singapore. I remembered travelling in a cab in hk for 15minute ride and it cost 20bucks! Well as for sg, since it is a very small country, transportation is everywhere and one of the cheapest in the world
