What is the cheapest way to make phone calls from the Philippines back to US?

  • I have T Mobile ad I have World Class Calling option but it says $3 a min. There must be a cheaper way to call back to US while I am in the Philippines. Can I buy a phone card to use at a pay phone? Can I buy one here before I leave the US or do I need to buy a card after I get there?

U can use PLDT Int'l call card. it's only Php1.50/minute. if you'll use SUN cellular IDD call card it's Php2.00.minute

They say the best is skype... Some say Sun Cellular... I don't know if there are prepaid cards for calling the US from the Philippines. I ran up a huge bill when I first came to the Philippines with AT&T and their international plan. It cost me about $5 to download a single webpage. LOL You can call any number in the USA for unlimited calls using Skype for $5.95 a month. Some prefer Magic Jack but you have to buy hardware for that Skype is the easy way. Some use vonage, I wouldn't.

Its better to buy pre paid cards here in the Philippines then you dont pay the USA per min. fee thats charged in the states... Philippine chargs are cheaper... I have a Globe Landline here in Laguna, so it cost me P30 per min to call Oregon .

yes, you can buy the budget card. its like 3 pesos a min. so thats like less than 3 cents US dollar. its the cheapest.
