What does my "cover letter" in my resume need to have?

Filipinos, please help me with cover letter/resume writing? too long, but need help wording?

  • This is a cover letter for my resume. I'm having little problems with English, so please check my grammars and punctuations. I'm applying as a service crew at fast food chains here in Philippines. So here it is.....(I'll just not write my name and address) I'll put * on my questions and other things I don't understand...example, "how old are you?" My name My address My number My e-mail add I don't have any idea about the employer contact information, so I will just not put it. Dear hiring manager/To whom it may concern "which one is better?" I'm very much interested to apply as a part time job service crew at Mcdo/KFC/other fast food chains (I will give them my resume)...."Is my first paragraph ok?" Though, I'm only a high school graduate and having no job experience before, I'm a hardworking, honest, reliable, friendly, responsible person. I am also willing to learn new things and can learn fast. ......"Should I just put less traits and put them in the resume letter"? What should I add in the 2nd paragraph?" I believe that my skills and personal traits would help your??? ...."no idea"that's my 3rd paragraph.. In that regard, I would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to discuss my qualifications. I can be reached at .............. or ............... I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you very much. "on my 4th paragraph."what should I add""about the thank you there, is that ok?" Sincerely,

  • Answer:

Examples of Cover Letter are available on google. You can quickly browse it as a guide to writing your own letter. It would be better to put Dear Manager, since you don't know the manager's name, it is unethical to put To whom it may concern but rather use Dear Manager. Your first paragraph is ok but it also should apply what position you want to apply for. On your second paragraph, mention specifically how your qualifications match the job you are applying for. Remember, you are interpreting your resume, not repeating it. Your third paragraph should be included in your second paragraph and your 4th paragraph should be third instead. Your final paragraph should include your contact information. Yours sincerely, or Sincerely yours,
