Quezon City, Manila living expenses?

  • Hi guys I want to know how much is living expenses in Quezon City Manila, my husband ex live down there with family in a condo she has his 7 year old son. She always claim their son is sick so she can get money from us. Christmas he was sick so we set over 1500 for dec. We were left with nothing for my 4 year old and my new born. My family has to bring gift over for them. I can't seem to make her understand that we have kids and living expenses here. So please break it down for my living expenses with family living with her. The property is owned by her aunt. Thanks

    Living expenses are too high that some people don't even get one decent meal a day. Worse, even dying expenses are high. So the poor can not even just opt to drop dead.

If they don't have to worry about a space to live in such as paying monthly rent, probably P25,000 (about $550) a month will give both the mother and the child a pretty decent life here. This includes the school allowance of the kid but will not cover for the tuition fee (probably about P10-20,000 if it's a regular private school) if he/she's already attending school.

Living rent free with the Auntie...20,000, or as the above poster said 25k......25k really good, living rent free, but she probably has to contribute for water, electricity and phone. You pay the tuition...separate. As for medical expenses..they are cheap here. Don't add anything unless it's a major illness. Add 5000 for birthday and Christmas...
