  If I "guess" the meaning of your question, then the answer would be: Traditional: 1) Terrestrial navigation 2) Celestial Navigation And additional MODERN: 3) Electronic Navigation 1 = piloting, sailings, plotting and planing your position/passage based on reference to the earth. (Chart construction, projections, plotting, tides, currents, dead reckoning, visual bearings, distance by sextant, etc., etc.), magnetic compass, Weather Navigation and routing, Weather observation and forecasting. 2= determination of your position by observation of the Sun, moon and planets (during DAYLIGHT HOURS) and the STARS during the morning and evening twilight. Equation of time, Almanac, etc. 3= DISCONTINUED: RDF, DECCA, OMEGA, CONSOL, Transit Satellite, Loran A 3= Current: LORAN-C, GPS, GALILEO (2 come), RADAR (can be considered terrestrial also since it simply is another means of obtaining bearing and distance to a charted object).
