Can you get an NSO birth certificate on the same day you requested for it?

  • If I go to NSO Makati City, can I get a birth certificate on the same day I request for it? Anybody who has applied for one recently? Thanks!

I believe this is possible in most cases with an additional fee for the service. In some offices it may be impossible depending on the technology available at the time. Makati City would have the most advanced technology and I am almost certain you will be able to get a certificate the same day you apply. Please go early in the morning and do not hesitate or question if they as you to pay an extra fee for the service. All in all, the fee will not be that much by American standards, certainly under $25 USD. Sorry I have to edit my answer. A citizen of Philippines I know says it took her 3 days?

I'm went to nso in lipa batangas to get an authenticated birth certificate to be used in PRC... it only take 1 and half hour for me to get it... thou you obviously have to pay fees...

Yes most likely but if the birth certificate have problems like for example wrong spelling or date of birth, it will take months to fix.
