Are Filipino doctors competitive abroad?

What do Filipino youth aspire to be : doctors, engineers, showbiz, politician?

    I used to dream about being a doctor. And I still do. :) But I ended up being the next best thing. Why do I want to be a doctor? Cos there's just something utterly rewarding when you save a life, more than the finicial compensation, it's that sense of greatness of actually being a part of something big.. :)

In my youth (I'm not that old yet) I wanted to be a doctor. But my parents told me to study law simply because I was very shy. They thought that I would overcome my shyness by being argumentative, as lawyers are trained to do. No. I didn't become a doctor, nor a lawyer. I became an engineer instead, a very popular profession for "nerdy" and reserved people.
