How much is the fare from the Philippines to the UK?

From the UK, thinking about studying in a university in the Philippines? Help :)?

• I am half filipino/british, I am a citizen of the UK and the Philippines. I am 18, I didn't go to university here in the UK because it is very expensive so I am looking for a job instead (no luck, it has been months) so I am thinking about studying in a top university in the Philippines (Ateneo or La Salle) for 2011. My family in the UK says we will be moving to the Philippines in years to come. I am thinking about doing an Art related course (to become a Graphic Designer) and I have family in Taguig City so I will be able to stay with them. I was just wondering if you know... What it is like for foreigners to study in the Philippines? What is the travelling like? Tuition fees? Any advice to do with anything would be appreciated :) Thanks

  You aren't exactly a foreigner. That said, there are foreign students in both universities. Both are really good schools. Tuition is pricey for Philippine standards. La Salle is trimestral so you take more units a year and graduate earlier. Estimate P60-70T per trimester depending on course, or P200,000 (just under GBP3,000) total per annum. Ateneo is semestral so the per-annum estimates would be somewhat less. Ateneo and La Salle have no graphic design courses, only computer science. A sister school of La Salle, the College of St. Benilde, offers multi-media arts, which is very specific to what you want. Go to the respective websites of all three schools for more admission info, so you can prepare the necessary documentation and take the exams on schedule. If you want to be enrolled for the schoolyear 2011-12, you will have to make a trip to the Philippines to take entrance exams and submit paperwork.
