YAPPERS: What is more educational...."An American Childrens TV Show" or "A Philippine Game Show (or Drama)"?

  • Considering how bad Philippine television programing is I'm wondering how dumb a lot of them can be. Most of the TV shows in the Philippines are pretty inane and doesn't really make people use their brains too much. Even to the point where I think some Children's programs are actually more challenging to your mind intellectually than your average Philippine TV program. So I'm wondering what is more educational...."An American Childrens TV Show" or "A Philippine Game Show (or Drama)"?

    Games shows are bad enough. The soaps are worse. Worst are the people hooked onto all these. Winner is any Children's TV show not necessarily American.

this is too rhetorical. if you're too stupid to not know what that is, it means even you know the answer and you're just asking for the sake of ranting. Philippine game shows (or dramas) were not meant to educate people in the first place. they were meant to raise a local channel's ratings and gain profit out of sponsors so guys like Willie Revillame can pay for their yachts and sports cars. it's like asking WTF do Americans learn from Jersey Shore? ask yourself if people here in my country really give a damn if some Filipinos actually learn anything from our shows. if it makes them smile for a couple of hours, it's their sense of happiness anyway. i don't know about you, but if you find Dora The Explorer intellectually challenging at your age... there's something wrong with your brain development.
