Cheap flights from England to the Philippines?

Flights to the Philippines?

  • I was just searching around for the best prices on flights from the USA to the Philippines and came across FlyCheapAboard.com, is this a trusted site? Anyone every used this site? The cheapest flights don't say what the flight is on, like UNITED as example and shows flights from Minneapolis or Detroit to Manila with connections between, which would be nice, but I doubt it, from what I can tell, most stop at Tokyo or Hong Kong. Anyone that has travel there before could help with information on the best place to get tickets and best route to go, I would appreciate it!! Thanks

  • Answer:

Philippine Airlines has flights out of California only. If the ones you see stop in Tokyo or Hong Kong it could be any of several, China Air, United, Catay Pacific, Japan Air, and others. If you would like to email me I can give you the site and email of a Mom & Pop Business (American husband/Filipina Wife) you can check with them (they can deliver over night and he is very helpful with other flight information even if you decide not to buy through him. I am an American living in the Philippines by the way so I have used him. If his price is to high for you then just say no, but usually he is the cheapest. Rev. Roy Ross

would come out more expensive because united doesn't have flights direct to manila. you then have to use multiple carriers and the prices are unbelievably high.**

The Philippines has two flag carriers that have international flights. Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Cebu Pacific. If you're coming from the U.S., PAL has flights there. I usually use Cebu Pacific for Asian countries (because it's cheaper). Both airlines have websites which you can check out. Depending on the season, Japan Airlines also has cheap flights to the Philippines. And it's cool because they have a Playstation on board. Flights from LAX usually take around 11 to 13 hours (depends if you have a stopover in Hawaii). I don't usually go through portals / travel agencies because I like handling my own flight details. I went in June through Travelocity. I watched many of the discount online travel site. They are pretty close to the same so i chose the one that gave me the most info before having to book. My itinerary was Detroit-Chicago-Tokyo-Manila with all but the final leg on UNITED. The Tokyo-Manila was on JAL. I dont necessarily believe that by taking multiple carriers, that the price is increased. I would guess just the opposite might be true, but that's just my guess. And with regard to going directly through an airline, I'm sorry but it only takes a few minutes to see that the major airlines' flights are much more expensive than a discount ticket site. My suggestion is that you spend time looking around, and once you are convinced that you have found the best deal you can get, book it as far in advance as possible to get the best deal! Then take the money you saved and have a great trip!

The best plane is the Philippine Airlines. Hope you enjoy your trip here in the Philippines. GOD BLESS!

Try searching at http://www.whichbudget.com The website offers a complete listing of regular, budget and charter operators on the route and you buy their special offers directly from the airline and not via their website or travel agent. Recently, Qatar Airways launched direct flights between their hub Doha and the Liberty International Airport (Newark). This airline has code-share with some American carriers and they might be able to offer you a special deal from Detroit or Minneapolis to Manila (via New York and Doha).

It depends on where you live. Philippine Airlines has flights from LA or Las Vegas to Manila. I'm not sure if they have more around the country (they probably do), but you should check it out.
