Does anyone know of a good, fast satellite internet in the Philippines that is affordable?

    If there was satellite internet in the Philippines, it wouldn't be cheap. A practical alternative is mobile broadband offered by telcos Globe, Smart, and Sun. The speed and quality is tolerable. However, they rely on consistent 3G/HSDPA signals from their cell sites, which means you have to be reasonably close and have clear line of sight.

I don't think there are any good satellite internet providers in the Philippines. Try NewSat in Australia, they have coverage for Asia-Pacific.

@clncarpz: internet from telephone uses dsl... lol... @ismael: my family in philippines uses smartbro and it is pretty fast

Outside of where I live in Leyte is a satellite tower tower but everybody says that the connection through the telephone is the fastest. The internet cafes here also use the telephone.
