  • The Commission on Election will start its 20-day pilot testing of its 23.5 million Internet voting project in Singapore today. It has tapped Scytl Consortium, a Spanish tech company to implement the project. The pilot testing is to find out if the Scytl technology is "secured, less costly, user-friendly, and accurate". Around 6,000 Filipino computer experts based in Singapore have already expressed interest to try to hack and penetrate the technology. As I am not an IT professional, i can't do anything except wish that the Internet voting system for absentee voters will have real security features that work.

    No System in the World is secured. Web applications are easy to hack, the best way to hack it is to approach one of the systems programmers. If you saw the movie Die Hard 4, thats what I'm trying to say.

I would if I can but I don't know much about computers except to log in and browse through the websites. My son could but he's busy with his work. Anyway, it would have been interesting to try and penetrate into the computer's security system. Where is that guy from Cebu who was able to hack into the many security systems that included Pentagon and other high-risk institutions? Wasn't that called Love Bug? He graduated from AMA if I'm correct.
